In 2016 a select number of WCC Music students from both Narre Warren South Campus and Wantirna South joined together to aid Boronia RSL in putting on the 2016 ANZAC Day Dawn Service.

Students arrived at school for a 5am departure and were sound checking by 5:30am.  As 6am drew closer it was time to take the warm jackets off and brave the 10degree 6am morning chill and perform.  Students performed the three requested anthems, Advance Australia Fair, God Defend New Zealand (Aotearoa) and God Save the Queen.  Singers from Narre Warren South Campus led by Ms. Natalie Ruiz, did an amazing job to led the anthems, including the Maori version of Aotearoa, supported by a 12 piece band made up of students from both campuses.

Garrett Munyard along with Mr. Francis Piccin performed the Last Post and Reveille to bookend the minute silence.

WCC have already been praised for their efforts and emphatically invited back for 2017.

A big thank you to Mr. Francis Piccin from the Narre Warren South Campus for all his organisation, music arranging and equipment hire and wisdom for making this event possible as well as Nelson and Renee Piccin for the work on making the band sound great at the sound desk.
